June 30-July 1st in Prairieville, LA. This camp was the first "Men's camp only" which was designed to get men away from their responsiblities and let them ride, rest, be refreshed and fed, both physically, mentally and spiritually. Topic was mentoring the next generation. The seminar was the history of dirt bike racing as told by race pioneer Mike Burgess.

The High School Motocross Team raised money to attend a National Championship race in Ponca City, OK by holding a Hare Scramble just downriver from Baton Rouge. Though it was delayed by lightning, racers and pit crews pushed through the grueling 6 hour event to it's conclusion. For more info go to G2Gmotox.com. AHRMA's biggest Vintage National at Mid-Ohio's Race Course held July 25-29th. First the Presentation party at the AMA Hall of Fame Museum for Jeremy McGrath and Malcolm Smith. Then the Vintage Trials, Motocross, Flat-track and Road Races. Throw in the largest motorcycle swap meet in the country and vendors of all kinds and an MX Legends race and you have an experience of a lifetime. Local G2G vintage race team of Billy Orazio, Roy Jenkins, Glenn Romero, Aaron Conners and Bobby Handy competed. Grand Opening race in Amite, LA. Track built by multi-time national champ Mark Barnett. It is filled with challenges and tests for the rider, with Motocross and Supercross sections, including the "Valley of the Kings," the "10 Commandments," and the "Bomber's Berms." Although watered well before the race the track got dusty late in the afternoon in the record, triple digit heat.

Saturday night race at Gravity Alley MX. It sprinkled a little 1/3 through the race, but thunderstorms went around us. Honda of Lafayette team looked strong. Successful race for new intermediate riders.
