Down South Motocross in New Iberia was the site of the first annual Randy Benoit Memorial Race. Barrel races were held in the horse arena Sat. night, 3 moto races on Sunday on the MX track.

This race was held at Kentwood, LA where the fastest of LA & MS collide. Nathan Davenport was the fastest money rider, Johnny Moore led Jake Lowry & Mitch Gourney as fastest B riders.

This race will be remembered for the monsoon that hit at the start of the second moto. We called the race, black-flagged the beginner class, but they kept taking laps just for the fun of it.

Willing students; great teaching from parents and volunteers; cool weather; good food; challenging track with deep ruts, moist dirt, big jumps and no dust; paintball game; marshmellow war; obstacle course; memorable campfire stories and a glorious, sunny Sunday under God's blessing made this the best camp for 32 campers and their parents. Cycle World of Houma held an open house for motocross racing on Thursday, November 16th. It was well attended as many were hopeful about winning a new CRF150 or one of 50 prize packages.
